Chair of the judging panel

Kicking off the programme below is an introduction from Penny Lee, chief executive officer of the Financial Technology Association, who chaired the independent judging panel.

Penny Lee

Welcome to the first live US FinTech Awards. It is terrific to be part of this event alongside all of the founders, executives, fintech enthusiasts and my fellow judges.  This year, we saw a record number of entries—206 across 20 different categories, with 129 unique companies.

As president and chief executive officer of the Financial Technology Association, an organisation representing leading financial technology companies, I get to see every day the remarkable transformation the industry is having as it reshapes and redefines the boundaries of financial services by using cutting-edge technology solutions and transformative ideas.

Throughout the evening, we will witness the culmination of hard work, dedication, and ingenuity as we recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of the brightest minds and the most groundbreaking companies in the realm of technology. Their commitment to pushing the notion of what is possible has not only changed the way we manage our finances but has also laid the groundwork for a more accessible, inclusive and secure financial future.

As we applaud the exceptional contributions of our finalists and winners, let us also acknowledge the collective efforts that have propelled the fintech industry to new heights and set the stage for a future that is as promising as it is transformative.

Thank you for being part of this extraordinary evening.
