Delicia Reynolds Hand currently serves as the director of financial fairness at Consumer Reports. In her new role at CR, Hand is reshaping the organisation’s work for a fair and just marketplace in which people’s financial well-being is supported through safe, transparent and innovative products and services. She is leading the organisation’s digital finance testing and ratings work, and leading organisational marketplace change strategy to support and create consumer friendly innovation in consumer finance. This work involves empirical evaluation of the most popular fintech app based products and services to identify which apps are the safest, private and transparent. Additionally, which apps support inclusive practices, promote financial well-being and user centricity.
Hand has over 20 years of service in economic development and consumer finance. Prior to Consumer Reports, she was deputy associate director and acting associate director for the CFPB’s consumer education & external affairs division, at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at which she spent 10 years.
